Sunday 17th - Grantley Adams School, St. Joseph

Sunday 24th - Turner's Hall, St. Andrew

Saturday 30th (Bank Holiday) - Bushy Park to Belleplaine (Louise Trainline Restaurant) Special Independence Hike (in honor of John Knox) . 6am start only.

Hiking in Barbados

Join the Barbados Hiking Association to trek through cane fields, gullies, tropical forests and coastal communities, exploring the unique geological and social structure of Barbados. Along the way you will meet new friends, enjoy healthy exercise, and observe the delicate balance of the unique heritage and environment of Barbados.

The hikes are FREE but donations are welcome.

Times

All morning hikes start at 6am.
Afternoon hikes (medium pace only) start at 3:30pm, except the moonlight hikes which start at 5:30pm. You are advised to bring a torch to the moonlight hikes.

There is a morning hike and, in addition, either an afternoon hike or a moonlight walk on every Sunday EXCEPT the date of the Great Train Hike.

Place

All hikes start and finish at the meeting place.

Hiking Groups

The morning hikes are broken down into the following groups. The afternoon and moonlights are one group only at medium pace.

Stop 'n' Stare (easy) - typically covering 6 miles
Medium - typically
covering 8 miles
Brisk Medium -
typically covering 10 miles
Grin 'n' Bear (challenging) -
typically covering 12 miles
All hikes last approximately 3 hours.
