Event: 41st Annual Run Barbados Marathon
Dates: December 6th - 8th, 2024
A 3-Day Running Extravaganza!
Friday, December 6th
Venue: The Garrison Savannah
Events:
- 6:00 PM: Entertainment with food and drinks on sale
- 8:00 PM: Fun Mile Race
- Prizes for top 3 male & female runners in Juniors (15 and under) and Open categories
- Fun race for costume runners, groups, and individuals
- Prize giving and entertainment will continue after the race
Saturday, December 7th
Venue: Barclays Park, East Coast
Events:
- 2:00 PM: Entertainment begins with food and drinks on sale
- 3:30 PM: Warm-up session with a popular fitness instructor
- 4:10 PM: 10K Run starts
- One of the oldest races in the Caribbean, established in 1983
- 4:15 PM: 5K Run starts
- Our most popular event, suitable for runners of all ages
- 4:30 PM: 5K winners reach the finish line
- 4:40 PM: 10K winners reach the finish line
- Presentation of prizes and awards for 5K and 10K races at a designated time
- All 5K & 10K finishers receive a commemorative medal
Entertainment & After Party:
- 2:00 PM Onwards: Music and entertainment at the Start/Finish line at Barclays Park
- Food and drinks available
- Open to runners, their family, friends, supporters, and the public
Sunday, December 8th
Venue: Barclays Park, East Coast
Events:
- 4:45 AM: Music starts and runners arrive at Barclays Park
- 5:30 AM: Half Marathon and Marathon start
- Marathon runners complete TWO laps of the Half-Marathon course
- Refreshment stations, toilets, and entertainment along the route
- Presentation of prizes and awards for Half Marathon and Marathon at a designated time
- All finishers receive a commemorative medal; challenge medals awarded
